Title Tuesday #3: NXT Women’s Championship


Hello ladies and gentlemen, I am your host, the Baumeister.  For many of us, we judge how good a wrestler’s legacy is based on how many titles they have, or haven’t won in their careers.  But, what about the heritage of those titles? That’s where we are going to look at here.  Not just who won the championship, where they won and how long they held it, but also interesting information unique to that championship’s history.

This week’s featured championship: NXT Women’s Championship

  1. Paige: Won June 20, 2013 at NXT #58 at Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL. Held the title for 308 days.
    1. Defeated Emma in a tournament final.
    2. Is currently the longest reigning NXT Women’s Champion.
    3. Is the only Diva to hold both the WWE Divas Championship and NXT Women’s Championship at the same fime, and the first NXT Women’s Champion to win the WWE Divas Championship
    4. Vacated the title April 24, 2014. Title is vacant for 35 days.
  2. Charlotte: Won May 29, 2014 at NXT Takeover at Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL. Held the title for 258 days.
    1. Defeated Natalya in a Tournament Final.
  3. Sasha Banks: Won February 11, 2015 at NXT Takeover: Rival at Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL. Held the title for 192 days.
    1. Won the title in a Fatal 4-Way featuring Charlotte, Bayley and Becky Lynch.
  4. Bayley: Won August 22, 2015 at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn in Brooklyn, NY. Held the title for 188 days.
    1. Current champion.
    2. First title change outside of Full Sail University.
    3. Defended the title in the first ever Women’s Ironman Match at NXT Takeover: Respect vs Sasha Banks.
    4. First televised defense outside the United States at NXT Takeover: London vs Nia Jax
